2022 ist das Motto des XR Science Awards „The Metaverse is now”.

Ideen und Konzepte, die sich diesem Bereich zuordnen lassen, werden von der Jury positiv bewertet.

The Science Festival

The XR Science Award is a prestigious award which is awarded since 2018 every year to outstanding research in die area of VR and AR. With the XR Science Award the DIVR wants to give European scientists a platform by honoring them with awards in different categories.

The big event includes an academics fair, workshops and, of course
the award ceremony itself All is hosted at the DASA building in Dortmund on over 1500 square meter.

Seven winning categories
• Best Concept (with this category we want to award early stage development of research groups which show high potential).
• Best Tech (new exciting solutions at the technology frontier are honored).
• Best Practice (applied research which is useful for industry)
• Performance& Art (solutions which can be attributed to the area of art and design).
• Immersion& Interface (research which is concerned with a high immersive experience)
• Athletic Performance, Psychology & Health (outstanding research in the area of sport and medical area is honored).
• XR Student Award (only students can apply)
