Overte ist eine Open Source VR Plattform mit einzigartigen Merkmalen:

Mit mehr als 200 Personen in einer Welt ist es möglich, Großevents in VR zu veranstalten.

Durch die 3D Audio Implementierung lassen sich auch komplexe Welten realisieren. Overte ist SteamVR kompatibel und basiert auf dem Code von High Fidelity.

Nutzer:innen können mit gängigen Programmen wie Blender oder Unity ihre eigenen Welten und Avatare hochladen oder direkt in VR bauen. Mit der neu-implementierten V8 JavaScript Engine lassen sich auch vielseitige Interaktionen für die Besucher:innen dieser Welten realisieren.

Marius Anger arbeitet schon seit über 6 Jahren im Vorstand für das Landshuter Kurzfilm Festival. 2018 wurde hier auch ein VR und 360 Grad Wettbewerb ins Programm aufgenommen. Seit dieser Zeit befasst er sich auch mit Social VR.  Selbst aktiv auf der damaligen High Fidelity Plattform und später dann Entwickler bei Tivoli Cloud VR.
Aktuell ist er im Vorstand des gemeinnützigen Vereins Overte e.V.

Overte is an open source VR platform with unique features.

With more than 200 people in a world, it is possible to host large events in VR.

Complex worlds can also be realized through the 3D audio implementation. Overte is SteamVR compatible and based on High Fidelity’s code. Users can upload their own worlds and avatars with common programs such as Blender or Unity or build them directly in VR. With the newly implemented V8 JavaScript engine, diverse interactions can also be realized for the visitors of these worlds.

Marius Anger has been on the board of the Landshut Short Film Festival for over 6 years. In 2018, a VR and 360 degree competition was also included in the program. Since that time he has also been involved with Social VR. Active on the then High Fidelity platform and later developer at Tivoli Cloud VR.
He is currently on the board of the non-profit association Overte e.V.
